In addition to our standard menu, join us every Thursday evening for a curated 3-course dinner. Each course has been crafted by Executive Chef, Josh Chapman and has been paired with personally curated wine selections.
1st Course
Meat & Cheese board, Fresh Fruit, Spanish Cheese, Dry Cured Meats
Pairing: Castillo Perelada Brut Reserva Cava with Fresh Fruit:
Firm and spicy, this Cava is driven by a baking-spice and apple flavor. It hovers just this side of sweet, checked by the mousse and the spice. Thanks to its aging, it has developed a fine aroma with fruit hints. Its well balanced structure, elegance and sensorial richness form an unmistakable personality.
Wine has been made at the Castillo Perelada since the Middle Ages, as shown in several documents and parchments from the period to be found in the library. When Miguel Mateu bought this ensemble of monuments in 1923, one of his primary objectives was to revitalize the wine producing tradition, a tradition that is more alive than ever these days and which has incorporated the most modern technology to create wines that make full use of the nuances of the soils and vines of the Empordà.
2nd Course
Grilled Spanish Octopus Paella with Crispy Rice, Chorizo and Smoked Mussels
Your choice of our house-made Rioja Sangria ~or~
Pairing: Altos de Luzon Spanish Red Blend, Jumilla, Spain, 2012
Enjoy our house-made traditional Red Sangria, prepared with ripened fruits and Spanish red wine.
~ Or choose the Altos; a perfect harmony and balance of Monastrell, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo Grapes. Garnet-purple with a violet rim. The aroma shows complex and powerful, ripe fruit notes, spices, cocoa, blackberry, plum, vanilla notes, and toasted notes from new oak. In the mouth, the wine is smooth and gentle with mature tannins, sweetness, and a round, polished, long finish.
3rd Course
Chili Braised Pork Shank, Spanish Flatbread, Cuisson and Citrus Marinated Carrots
Pairing: Marques de Caceres Rioja Reserva, Tempranillo of Rioja, Spain 2012
Highly regarded for distinctive and age-worthy red wines, this Rioja was awarded a score of 93 by Wine Spectator. A blend of 85% Tempranillo, 10% Garnacha and the rest Graciano; the 2012 Reserva sports a deep ruby/purple color as well as lots of blackberry, licorice, asphalt, and spicy vanilla oak aromatics. This deep, rich, medium to full-bodied, pleasure-bent beauty has tons of charm, no hard edges, and a great finish. It’s about as easy drinking and quaffable as it gets. This cuvée spent 20 months in a mix of new and used French oak.
