How long have you worked for Corner Kitchen?
1.5 years
What’s the best meal you’ve had at Corner Kitchen?
I was a huge fan of our Adobo Wrap, that’s been recently changed to a bowl. In my opinion it offers the best flavor combination of any “staple dish” on the menu.
What kitchen (or bar) tool could you not live without?
A wooden spatula.
If you could only have one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
My favorite dish growing up, spaghetti with meat sauce.
What’s the worst meal you’ve ever had?
Seven years ago one of my roommates prepared chicken with vegetables, and everything came out over-cooked and bland.
What’s your favorite food movie?
I love “Chef” with Jon Favreau
What’s the last thing you watched on TV and why did you choose to watch it?
The only thing I actually watch on live TV is English football (soccer), because I can’t stand commercials. So the last thing I watched would’ve been this years Champions League Final, because Liverpool was playing.
How do you spend your time outside of work?
If my friend isn’t available for tennis, and I’m not just trying to be lazy and listen to music, I spend quality time with my parents and two highland terriers. Nothing else gives me quite as much joy as playing around with my dogs.
Anything else you’d like to share about you?
I believe the most important lesson I’ve learned is how to laugh at myself, because it really is the best medicine and we all make silly mistakes.
Humans of Corner Kitchen is a continuing blog piece we run each month about a staff member in our restaurant.
