Thursday Curated Dinner: Argentinian Menu for the month of June, 2018

Celebrating Argentina with us this month through food and wine.

In addition to our standard menu, join us every Thursday evening for a curated 3-course dinner. Each course has been crafted by Executive Chef, Josh Chapman and has been paired with carefully selected wines by Manager, Rene Teran.

3 courses with 3 different 3oz beverage pairings, $57

1st Course
White Wine Poached Clams with Chimichurri, Crispy Pig Jowl and Capers.

2015 Torrontes, Finca La Linda – Salta, Argentina
Established in 1901 by Leoncio Arizu, Bodega Luigi Bosca is the oldest family owned and run winery in Argentina. Light yellow-green color. Floral aromas with hints of rosehip and a touch of lavender. Sweet entry in the mouth, balanced acidity, and notes of white peach with memories of orange peel jam. Remarkable balance between fruity and flowery taste.

2nd Course
Green Chili Marinated Skirt Steak, Confit Fingerling Potatoes, Blistered Tomatoes and Crispy Capers.

2017 Pinot Noir, Sin Azufre, Bodega Chacra – Patagonia, Argentina
Bodega Chacra is an organic and biodynamic producer, located in the Rio Negro Valley of northern Patagonia. The property’s location in the arid central Argentine desert is tempered by the confluence of the Neuquen and Limay Rivers, both of which flow from the Andes and converge in the Rio Negro. There is a wonderful purity in this wine with dried strawberry and iodine. This refined red mixes crushed bilberry and cherry fruit with undertones of smoke, game and mineral. A fine length.

3rd Course
Pepper Crusted Lamb Loin with Squash Puree, Wilted Greens, Green Salsa, and Crispy Potatoes.

2015 Merlot, Amor Seco, Bodega Chacra – Patagonia, Argentina
“Merlot from Argentina. did you think Argentina only made malbec? This wine is gorgeous, energetic and slightly tannic with flavors of red fruit and just the right sort of light bitterness to keep it refreshing. Bodega Chacra is known for making superb pinot noirs (yes, Argentina makes pinot noir, too). This is a worthy addition.” – NY Times
